Campsites

These are some of the campsites that the 1st Greenhills Scout Group uses on a regular basis.

Camp Warringal, Whittlesea North

340 Bruces Creek Road Whittlesea North

Please enter from Wallan Road.  Turn Right at Bruces Creek Road, Follow Bruces Creek Road and turn left to stay on Bruces Creek Road and then turn right to stay on Bruces Creek Road.  Camp site is on the right-hand side of the road.

Camp Warringal is the Banyule District Campsite for our District and is extremely popular with our leaders.

District Activities are often run at this camp site.

Camp Warringal is over 8-ha of bushland at the Foothills of Mt Disappointment.

It offers groups the chance to camp out or use Bunk house accommodation.

Camp Warringal is in the Total Fire Ban District:  Central and is situated in Whittlesea City

Gilwell Park, Gembrook

2555 Launching Place Road Gembrook

Gilwell Park is located near Gembrook in the east of the Dandenong Rangers about 60 minutes’ drive from our hall.

Gilwell Park is the venue for several major Scouting Activities including Cuboree, Stradbroke Cup.

Gilwell Park is over 160-ha in area and offers groups the chance to camp out or use bunk houses.

It also has a training centre for leaders to undertake training course at.

Gilwell Park is in the Total Fire Ban District:  Central and is situated in the Cardinia Shire.

Clifford Park Activity Centre, Wonga Park

5-7 Clifford Drive Wonga Park

Off Jumping Creek Road into Dudley Road then right onto Fullford Road (past Kellybrook Winery) into Clifford Drive

Clifford Park is the closest camp site to our Scout hall

It is a 20-ha bush site nestled in a bend of the Yarra River with the Warrandyte State Park on three sides of it.

Clifford Park offers groups the chance to camp out or use Bunk house accommodation

Clifford Park is in the Total Fire Ban District:  Central and is situated in Manningham City.

Treetops Camp and Activity Centre, Riddells Creek

140 Royal Parade Riddells Creek

Treetops is situated 4.5 kms from the township of Riddells Creek

It is a 30-ha site consisting of bushland and open grassland

It offers groups the chance to both Camp and use its pack holiday centre.

Treetops is in the Total Fire Ban District:  Central and is situated in Macedon Ranges Shire

Mafeking Rover Park, Caveat

338 Caveat-Dropmore Road Caveat

Mafeking Rover Park is situated 33 kms north of Yea

Mafeking offers camping and is used for Region Gathering

Mafeking is in the Total Fire Ban District:  North Central and is situated in Murrindindi Shire.

Bay Park – Joseph Harris Park, Mount Martha

Hearn Road Mount Martha

Bay Park is situated 5 kms from Mt Martha

It is close to the bayside beaches and is on a 35-ha site of bushland.

Bay Park offers groups the opportunity to camp out or you can use the Converted Railway Carriages for a pack holiday. 

It also has a Challenge Valley that can be used by those using the facilities.

Bay Park is in the Total Fire Ban District: Central and is situation in the Mornington Peninsula Shire.
